One Visit Crowns with CEREC®

Is it really possible to avoid uncomfortable temporary crowns and waiting for weeks to restore my smile?

The answer is “Yes!” at Todd Whitlock Dentistry in Bloomington, Indiana.

Restoring Your Confidence in One Visit

In just one short visit, Dr. Whitlock can restore the confidence of an extraordinary smile. Getting a traditional crown previously required multiple visits to the dentist and plastic temporary crowns. Now with advanced CEREC® technology, Dr. Whitlock team can create and place a permanent crown in the same day.

Exceeding Expectations with Technology

Dr. Whitlock is not your average dentist and he does not settle for average technology. Our in-office CEREC device combines CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing) technology with a specialized digital camera, advanced software and a precision milling machine to allow an experienced dentist like Dr. Whitlock to quickly create a natural-looking ceramic crown in one visit.

What does CEREC® mean for you?

1. No temporary crowns needed

Dr. Whitlock’s one visit crowning process removes the need for temporary crowns or waiting weeks for permanent crowns to arrive. You’ll leave your visit ready to share your smile.

2. No gunk-filled mess

No need for gunk-filled, messy, and uncomfortable impressions. Instead, CEREC® digitally maps your mouth using a specialized camera to capture a highly detailed digital image of the area where the crown will be placed.

3. No surprises

The CEREC® computer aided design (CAD) software helps our experienced team create an accurate 3D model of your new tooth using the detailed digital image. Using the 3D model as a blueprint, the CEREC® system employs Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) technology with a high-speed diamond bur and disk to mill a precise restoration while you wait. Within minutes, we can create a beautifully precise crown just for you.

4. No one will know

When the ceramic crown is completed, Dr. Whitlock ensures the color matches your natural teeth and then he places your new crown permanently in your mouth. The result is a beautiful natural looking crown that blends seamlessly with your other teeth.

If you have a chipped, cracked or damaged tooth, we’d love to help. One visit to Dr. Whitlock and we’ll have you ready to share your beautifully restored smile with the world
